Jacaranda tree removal on the Northern Beaches

Tree removal Northern Beaches.

We recently removed a jacaranda tree that was growing between two houses in Belrose on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Due to the tree’s proximity to the two properties, it was starting to cause problems – and it hadn’t grown to full size!

Jacaranda trees are an exempt species under Northern Beaches Council’s Tree Preservation Order so the owners didn’t require Council approval or a permit to remove the tree.

Jacaranda trees are popular throughout the Northern Beaches (and Australia) because of their striking violet-blue flowers.  Originating in South America, these large deciduous trees can grow from 7.5 – 15 metres tall. Their expansive canopy and lush, fern-like foliage provide great shade cover, making them a popular choice for urban landscaping and public parks.

When grown in a large backyard, public park, or even on street verges, jacaranda trees can be a beautiful addition to any landscape.  When growing within proximity to buildings, like these homes in Belrose, jacaranda trees can quickly become a problem that requires removal.
